Yesterday was Bobby's 24th birthday! He took off work (yay!) and we took a fun trip to Shiner, TX to visit the
K. Spoetzl Brewery. Shiner Bock is Bobby's favorite beer, so I thought it would be fun to take the trip to the brewery since we are only about 2 hours away. The brewery is still independently owned and is in the original location. They've expanded to keep up with demand, of course. However, one thing I learned was that they only have 1 bottling line, so they can only bottle one type of beer at a time! Usually that is their most popular beer, Shiner Bock. They do have several specialty beers that they make (some regularly, some seasonal). They had a ton of merchandise available to buy, which we had to refrain from buying a bunch of stuff!! We ended up getting a sign for above the TV, which we've needed something since we moved in. Bobby also got a koozie (which he now claims he collects) and a t-shirt! Monday night when Bobby got home from playing racquetball I decided to give him his gifts. All in all it was a great day! In addition to this, Saturday we went to the Round Rock Outlets and Bobby got new shoes and a new backpack. We also ate at Red Lobster! I got him these things for his PlayStation controller, not exactly sure what they do but he says they help him with his game, so that works for me! I'd say he made out like a bandit this year! Here are some pictures from the day...
