Cleaning Checklists

I felt inspired by Pinterest, as I do often. I have a problem with keeping up with cleaning tasks around our apartment. I generally let things get so bad until I cannot stand them and then go on a cleaning and organizing frenzy. This does not mean our apartment is a huge pig sty, because I cannot let things get that bad before I feel like cleaning. It is hard during the week because we are both pretty busy between class, work, practicum, carpooling, homework, and racquetball.

Several times I had come across posts on Pinterest about cleaning 15-30 minutes per day to keep your house clean. This intrigued me. I searched for a long time to find checklists, plans, and ideas that fit what I wanted to accomplish. None that I found really fit us and our lifestyle, so I wrote out a list of what I wanted to do each day, then added tasks for Monday-Friday. Each day focuses on a different part of the house: Bathroom, Living Room/Dining Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, and Friday is a general day. The Daily Cleaning Tasks is fairly general, so I think it would work for almost anyone. Some might have to adjust the trash and recycling days to fit your own trash schedule. Here is a screenshot of the checklist. Click the link below the picture for a free download!

Next I wanted a checklist for things that need to be done monthly and quarterly. Again these are fairly general, so hopefully many people can use them. Here is the screenshot. Click the link below the picture for a free download!

I hope some people can find use for these checklists in their cleaning routines. My original idea was to laminate the sheets so that they could be used over and over again, but I don't have anything to laminate with, so I found some clear page protectors used for reports that give them same effect of lamination. I put them on the fridge for easy access! Thanks for reading!
