Blogging has definitely been on my back burner the past 3 (?) weeks since school started. In reality I haven't been that busy (thank goodness) just super stressed (not good). Thankfully, some things are working out so I am a little less stressed but still not carefree (not that I am ever completely carefree). This semester I've been working in a middle and high school with two school psychologists (LSSPs) to get my feet wet, so to speak. So far it's been a good experience, despite a few stressful moments. The thing is for our classes we have projects that coordinate with our time/resources in the school(s) in which we are working. You would think finding kids to participate in these projects would be really easy considering there are tons of kids in a school ;) Compared to the last two semesters, where we had to find kids ourselves, not within the context of a school, just from people we knew (um, I didn't know anyone) this should be a breeze, right?! Not so fast... but it's all working out and I have (I think) kids/resources lined up for all my projects this semester. So this past week I've observed testing, gave tests, and sat in on ARD meetings. It's really been a great experience so far and while I still have so far to go and so much to learn I really enjoy what I've been doing. I'm going two days a week (most weeks) to get the required number of hours for the university (200 hours).
