Last week I had the opportunity to travel to Philadelphia, PA for a school psychology conference. Three of my cohort members and myself submitted a proposal for our poster to be considered at the Trainers of School Psychology Annual Conference, which coincides with the National Association of School Psychology (NASP) Convention. We were accepted and secured travel funds through our university, so the trip was basically expenses paid. It was a great opportunity to get our names out there and get experience with a conference. We arrived Monday to explore the city (none of us had been before). Tuesday we explored the city some more and had our presentation that night. That evening we went to a great tapas bar with some colleagues and stuffed our faces. Wednesday we ventured to NASP before we had to journey back to Texas. Overall it was great experience, but I was glad to be back home. We are hoping to attend NASP next year, which is in Seattle!
